Introducing Room 1

Welcome to Room 1 at Koputaroa School! We are the New Entrant and Year 1 children and at the moment there are 22 children in the class . We are looking forward to sharing our learning journey with you and hearing your comments on our exciting beginning to school.

Modules - Cooking

The children have had two cooking sessions and made some Rice Bubble Crackles and a Chocolate Cake. This was a great learning experience and created a lot of discussion. Everyone enjoyed eating the yummy things we made!
Some comments from the children:





"It will taste yummy!" Michael, about the cake.
"It is very sticky." Harrison, about the rice bubble mixture.
"The sprinkles make it look pretty." Charli, about finishing the icing.

    Wow Room 1! Excellent cooking! The photos show the process of your learning very clearly. It looks as if you enjoyed making and EATING the cake - I enjoyed eating it too, it was yummy. Mr Orr.
